ABOUT ART SECOR
Art Secor is a native of North Carolina. He was born in Raleigh, NC and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
Art Secor founded LW Land in 2008. The parent company was established in 2001. LW Land is a land acquisition, development, marketing and sales company. Art initiates the purchases of distressed land assets, improves the asset and sells individual home sites to the public at a discounted price. The land is acquired from distressed sellers, estates, the state and federal government, banks, FDIC owned and controlled land, etc. Land is also marketed to marketing groups, investors, hedge funds, trust etc.
Art Secor also founded the Southgroup Companies in the spring of 2001 including Southgroup Realty, Southgroup Real Estate Investments, Southgroup Mortgage, Southgroup Development, Southgroup Properties and Southgroup Marketing. The Southgroup Companies have been awarded the Top Ten in Real Estate Sales Volume, Largest Real Estate Company and Mortgage Volume by The Charlotte Business Journal. Southgroup has been featured in Personal Real Estate Investor Magazine, Money Magazine, Live South Magazine, CBS and Talk radio. Southgroup’s Broker in Charge was awarded Business Leader of the year in 2008.
Art Secor is one of principals in Coastal Venture Group, a residential land development company specializing in waterfront and mountain destination communities. Coastal Ventures has been awarded Top 100 Amenity Community in the US by Living Southern Style Magazine and top Golf Destination spot in Florida Golf Central Magazine.
Art Secor’s 17 years of real estate experience includes investments, both commercial and residential. A big emphasis on raw land, marketing, bank asset workouts, horizontal development, local, State and Federal entitlement and pre-development planning and sales. Problematic right of way, easement, ingress/egress solutions and acquisitions are also a focus. Further, Art implements comprehensive development and marketing strategies, land sales, builder relations and financing consulting.
Overall, Art believes that superior customer service is paramount. It does not matter if one is dealing with an individual home site buyer or seller, or the bank asset manager liquidating a portfolio. Art believes a customer now is a customer for life. When asked Art says, “The customer comes first, always”.
